WHAT IS JIKIDEN REIKI?
In Japanese, the word Jikiden means “directly handed down” and Reiki means “universal life energy”.
A Reiki therapy supports the whole person physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually while focussing on specific issues.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR FIRST SESSION
I will place my hands on a client’s clothed body.
I will normally start the session by applying Reiki to the head for a good length of time, and I will then move my hands to other parts of the body, keeping them in position for as long as needed.
I will end the session stimulating your blood circulation with specific movements along your back and legs. This is called KEKO technique.
A Jikiden Reiki session is a very personal experience, and it is often said it brings on a deep feeling of warmth, comfort, and relaxation. On some occasions, you may become quite emotional.
On a physical level, Reiki can help relax stressed muscles, ease pain, and accelerate the healing time of bones and wounds, burns and bruises. On a mental and emotional level, anxiety can be reduced, increasing a feeling of well being.
